Answer-in-a-Box began as a space for ideas — a place to capture clear, direct thinking about how information works. It’s a developing project: part blog, part workspace, part experiment in connecting people with practical knowledge.
At its core, it reflects an interest in how data, language, and structure shape understanding. Early posts explore topics in data architecture, semantics, and information management — how organisations can build meaning into their data rather than just accumulate it.
Over time, Answer-in-a-Box will broaden. It will include details of professional services in data and information architecture, together with pages for Barkham, a rural base on the edge of Exmoor. Barkham hosts chamber concerts, music workshops, and small conferences, and offers self-catering accommodation in three cottages surrounded by open countryside.
For now, the site is evolving. The aim is clarity: answers that fit neatly in the box, but point to a wider landscape of ideas, music, and place.
